Robert Addolorato retired from the NYPD after a 20 year career as a highly decorated detective. He continued his crime fighting work on behalf of state taxpayers for the New York State Attorney General where he served as lead investigator on highly sensitive cases including the case against former Senator, Pedro Espada Jr.
Most recently, Mr. Addolorato serves as Deputy Chief Investigator for the New York State Inspector General where he is responsible for supervising investigations including those involving public corruption, waste and abuse in state agencies throughout the State. He has been working on the Commission since its inception.
His distinguished career also included his leading Federal violent gang investigations while working with the FBI and DEA that concluded with the arrests and convictions of over 120 federal defendants and closed over 70 homicides.
